Get to know me
Of course, a short text on a website can't replace getting to know each other in person, but it can perhaps give a first impression of my own motivation.
Family man and “grounded idealist”
I am married and have two daughters. I studied business administration with a focus on auditing, marketing and environmental economics.
27 years in the most valuable company in the world
As a director of Apple, I left a significant mark on the environment and sustainability.

The human being
I have been motivated to advocate for issues that serve a greater meaning and purpose for decades. Some books have had a significant influence on me. Al Gore's 1992 book “Paths to Balance “A Marshall Plan for the Earth” was the inspiration behind why I fought for Apple to become more ecological for several decades. Interested for almost as long...

The guardrails
Over time, the following values have emerged as guidelines for my life: I love doing sports and feeling physical exertion and liveliness. I find being together with other people, whether in a relaxed mood or for in-depth conversations, equally enriching. I am particularly impressed by people who share their purpose in life...

The way
I am extremely grateful to have been able to experience Apple's corporate culture for more than 27 years. The pioneering spirit, the focus on innovations, the absolute effort to develop perfect products and services, the laser-focused goal orientation in all activities and the company values lived in everyday life have had a deep influence on my career. While I was still studying business administration…
